Dear Candidate,
We are delighted to offer you the position above at Halcyon Labs. This letter sets out the main terms of your employment, which begins on your agreed start date.
Nature of employment
Your employment is at-will, which means that either you or the company may end the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, subject to applicable law. Your first ninety days are a probationary period during which we will check in regularly and either side may part ways more readily.
Pay and equity
Beyond your base salary, you will be granted Restricted Stock Units (RSU) that vest over four years, with vesting tied to your continued employment — shares that have not yet vested are forfeited if you leave early. You are also eligible to contribute to the company 401(k) plan, to which Halcyon Labs adds a matching contribution up to the stated limit.
Your commitments
As a condition of employment you agree to a non-disclosure obligation covering confidential company information, and to a limited non-compete that restricts joining a direct competitor for a defined period after you leave.
If employment ends
Should the company end your employment without cause after your probationary period, you may be eligible for severance in line with our policy and your length of service.
